A society in which children are nurtured, protected and can participate, develop and thrive.

To support active rural citizens in South Africa to be respected, to hold leaders accountable, and to assert their rights, including rights to land and natural resources, under the Constitution and customary law.

To support CCL’s intended long term impact to achieve:

• Constitutionally compliant and child-rights centered legal and policy framework;
• Empowered child rights sector that can hold duty bearers accountable;
• Child responsive budgeting for socio-economic rights to advance social justice for children;
• Duty-bearers, rights-holders and civil society are aware of their responsibilities in relation to the rights of children;
• Accountable duty-bearers and effective mechanisms to hold them to account;
• A strong and credible child law academic discipline which generates knowledge to support the child rights and protection systems and structures.

To see a society where historical and social justice is achieved, state institutions are strengthened, and oppressive systems have been dismantled.

Persons with intellectual disability have equitable access to their socio-economic rights and other human rights, so that they are living as independently as their level of support allows within society with dignity and respected as equals.

To have improved health services for rural communities realised by holding government accountable for implementation of policies relating to financing and human resource allocation within the National Health Strategic Plan.
